1. Press and hold the SETUP key until "SETUP" appears. After "SETUP" appears it will flash right to "CHAn" menu. To begin configuration of the CHAn menu press ENTER.
2. Scroll to the OutPut menu by pressing SELECT, press ENTER to select the OutPut menu.
3. Select "AL AR" from the OutPut menu. Push the ENTER key and "AL AR 1" will appear. Use the SELECT key to select which alarm to activate. Press ENTER on the alarm of your choice. NOTE: All alarms are independent and can be set up with any channel for Dual Channel systems.
4. After selecting your alarm "CHAnEL" will appear. Using the SELECT key choose the channel that the alarm chosen will apply to. Channel 1 must be chosen for Single Channel systems, otherwise press ENTER on desired choice.
5. "rELAY" will appear. If you are only using the main board in the back of the meter, you must pick rELAY 4. Relays 1-3 are located on the optional top board. Press ENTER to save your relay choice.
6. "TYPE" will then appear. This function allows you to choose the type of alarm you would like. Use the SELECT key to choose either "ALAr Hi" (alarm goes off when output is higher then set value) or "ALAr Lo" (alarm goes off when lower the set value). Press ENTER to store your selection.
7. "SEt Pt" will then appear. Using the SELECT and arrow keys enter in the output number that the alarm should be activated at. Press ENTER to save your value. NOTE: The alarm is on when the corresponding alarm LED is illuminated.
8. "HySt" will then appear. This allows you to enter in a value to offset the alarm by. It is added to a lower alarm limit or subtracted from a high limit. Press ENTER to save your value.
9. "LatCH" will appear on the display. Using the ENTER key choose "YES" or "no". Selecting "YES", will enable the alarm to remain on till manually reset. Selecting "no" will allow the alarm to turn off as soon as the output value returns to normal conditions. Press ENTER to save your entry.
10. "SAFE" (alarm 1 only). This function will protect the meter if the power fails. If you choose "YES" to the SAFE option then the alarm will turn on when the power fails. Press ENTER to store your option.
11. "FLASH" will then appear on your display. Selecting "YES" to this option will make the display flash when the alarm is on. Press ENTER to store your option. You will then return to the main menu and "OutPut" will by displayed. To return to the OutPut menu press ENTER and to move through the main menu press SELECT.
