IPM520 Series: Analog Output Setup

Click here for Analog Step by Step directions

Analog Output Connections:
The picture above shows the correct setup for the analog output connections. If you are going to be using a voltage analog output then connect your analog wires to pin 2 (or 3) and pin 4. If you are going to be using a mA analog output then connect your analog wires to pin 2 (or 3) and pin B. Make sure that in the programming process you select the correct analog output.

Programming the Analog Output:
1. Press and hold the SETUP key until "SETUP" appears. After "SETUP" appears it will flash right to "CHAn" menu. To begin configuration of the CHAn menu press ENTER.
2. Scroll to the OutPut menu by pressing SELECT, press ENTER to select the OutPut menu.
3. Select "AnALoG" from the OutPut menu. Press the ENTER key.
4. "SOUrCE" will then flash on your display followed by "CHAn 1".
5. Here you are selecting the source that will control the analog output. The choices are either "CHAn 1", "CHAn 2", "CHAn 3" or "dISPLy". The channels refer to the individual channels and the display setting will control the output by what ever is showing on the display. Press SELECT to scroll through the menu and ENTER to select your desired choice.
6. If you choose one of the channels as your source for the output (step 3) you will enter another menu. There are three options in this menu, "Gross", "nET" or "PEAK". Here you are setting what function on your specific channel should control the analog output. Press SELECT to scroll through the menu and ENTER to select your desired choice.
7. "OuT" will now appear on your display. Here you set the analog output range in current or voltage. Press SELECT to scroll through this menu:
Note: The range you pick must also correspond with the way you set up your meter in the Setup portion of this Guide (above).
"4-20" mA
"0-10" VDC
"0-20" mA
"0-5" VDC
"-5-5" VDC
Press
ENTER on your desired choice.
8. "dSP Lo" will appear on the display. Here you are to enter in the low display value that will correspond to the low analog output value. Use the SELECT key to choose the placement of the digit and the up and down keys to increment and decrement the numerical value. Press ENTER to store your value
9. "dSP Hi" will appear on the display. Here you are to enter the high display value that will correspond to the high analog output value. Use the SELECT key to choose the placement of the digit and the up and down key to increment and decrement the numerical value. Press ENTER to store your value.
10. "OutPut" will appear on the display. The analog output is now operational.
