FUTEK Insider / April 2013
The New Product Guide is Here!
The New Product Guide is Here!
We are beyond ecstatic to announce that we have a new product guide! The 6th edition of our catalog is now available digitally for download and hardcopies will soon make their way into your hands within the upcoming month.
But what can you expect within this new 36- page spread? First off, applications! As we announced last year, we have been working diligently on producing dozens of conceptual applications illustrating the various uses of our sensors and instruments. So you’re guaranteed a fresh glimpse of several of these applications within this catalog, like the Mars Rover Curiosity drill bit and the below automotive pedal force measurement.
Due to our broad product offering, we wanted to highlight industry-specific sensors. For instance, the LSB200 Miniature S-Beam Jr. Load Cell has been
instrumental in many medical applications, from syringe precision measurements to medical IV bag weighing. But that isn’t the only “industry-specific sensor” mentioned. See pages six through 11 for more unique sensors.
Lastly, we put a stronger emphasis on our instrumentation and software lines. With the release of two new digital displays - the IHH500 Handheld Display and the IPM650 Panel Mount Display, and our continuous development and deployment of new USB Solutions, our engineering team is delighted to see their hard work featured within these pages.
But enough talk, we want you to experience this release for yourselves. So download it now, and enjoy!

FUTEK’s USB320: USB Solutions for Rotary Torque Sensors
Understanding that many applications may require plug-and-play solutions over traditional digital displays or panel mounts, FUTEK’s Electrical Engineering Team set out to design specific USB Solutions for our various sensor lines. Specifically for Rotary Torque Sensors, our Electrical Engineering Team developed the USB320 Solution.
With specifications including a 12 VCD power output, a sampling rate up to 4,800 samples per second, and an internal resolution of 24 Bits, the USB320 is a perfect companion for angle and speed measurements. Additionally, the USB320 utilizes FUTEK’s SENSIT Test and Measurement Software.
