It’s that time of year again, when looking back is traditionally the only way to move forward. Because of all the hard work and dedication the FUTEK team has poured into this year, FUTEK is proud to declare 2010 as a success. There have been many great happenings defining this year as successful. Let’s take a walk down memory lane, shall we. Here are our top 5 highlights of 2010:
1) As you know, in 2009 FUTEK offered the revolutionary LSB200 Miniature S-Beam Jr. Load Cell
with Lifetime Warranty. This little guy, though small, produced many solutions for diverse applications to various customers. Because of the LSB200’s success, we created a customized webpage
dedicated to FUTEK’s “baby.” This webpage provides users with mounds of supporting documents and product explanations, as well as mounting suggestions. We even furthered the design of the LSB200 by adding an array of accessories, opening up the application possibilities for the Miniature S-Beam Jr.
2) Speaking of applications
, FUTEK hosted its first application contest
this year! Beginning in March, participants had three months to develop any application utilizing a Load Cell or Torque Sensor. After intense deliberation by an “esteemed” panel of judges, FUTEK proudly crowned the Laboratório de Tecnologia Oceânica da COPPE
of Brazil the winners. As the victors of this competition, Laboratório de Tecnologia Oceânica won a LSB200 S-Beam Jr. Load Cell, a USB Solutions Kit, and the Extended USB Software along with a HP Mini Laptop. Congratulations Laboratório de Tecnologia Oceânica for a job well done!
3) A popular addition to the FUTEK website has been our video archive
. Under the FUTEK Forum
tab now resides all FUTEK videos. From applications to products to support, this archive has been a wonderful source of tools providing instant information at your fingertips. Our purpose wasn’t creativity, but rather an alternative perspective for browsers to experience our products, team, and quality. We encourage you to check them out!
4) There was another first for FUTEK this year – the USB Webinar
. This past October FUTEK held an international webinar highlighting all the features of our USB Solutions technology. Engineers, John Vargas and Brandon King, explained in an open forum the benefits of live data graphing and logging to an audience of 200. If you just happened to have missed the USB Webinar, don’t fret. We have it archived
and ready for you to watch.
5) Lastly, FUTEK wanted to stress our dedication to high quality products. So at the close of this year, Quality Director, Thomas Bowles, issued a public report on FUTEK’s Absolute Traceability system
. He explained the great length and detail that FUTEK takes to ensure that every sensor issue has a solution. FUTEK is proud of our Absolute Traceability system, knowing that it makes us just that much more unique in the sensor industry.
But that’s enough about 2010! What can FUTEK customers look forward to in 2011? Well, here’s a glimpse:
FUTEK is going abroad; and not just once. This upcoming year FUTEK is planning two tradeshows. NIWeek 2011 will be in Texas, USA and the Sensor + Test show in Germany. These tradeshows are a huge opportunity for our business to gain incredible visibility in the sensor industry. We are looking forward to building stronger relationships with our international business partners; as well as establishing new relationships with emerging sensor partners.
Also, you can be expecting two new products from FUTEK. First, we have our USB Solutions Kit with upgraded software. FUTEK’s Electrical Engineering Team has been working diligently on perfecting this software upgrade. The new software will have both visual and dynamic changes. Some aspects to be looking forward to are the abilities to calibrate within the system, as well as experience a much clearer visual of graphed data. This solutions upgrade will be revolutionary in the sensor industry. The second new product release is the IHH500, a handheld display integrated with USB technology. This advancement allows for users to stream outputs from the handheld onto their PC to permanently log collected data.
These are just a few peeks into 2011. For the rest, you are just going to have to wait and see.
FUTEK would like to bring in the New Year by saying thank you for all of your support! Happy Holidays everyone!
