Recently, FUTEK began developing online solution sections for our individual Sensor families. Our intention for this endeavor is to provide our customers with all the necessary support essentials from choosing a sensor to maintaining their system. We began with our Miniature Load Cell Line then moved onto our USB Sensors and now we are releasing our S-Beam Load Cell Section.
The S-Beam Online Solution Section showcases all the unique features of the series, highlighting the qualities that make this line a perfect fit for In-Line test measurement applications. In a concise and comprehensive overview, this supportive document outlines the family’s uses, capacities, OEM capabilities, submersible alternatives, and overload protection [on selective models].
But this section isn’t all words. FUTEK goes further to offer example applications and illustrations. Here you can see the many ways our customers have uniquely adapted the S-Beam models into their many fields. Whether it’s medical, aerospace or automation, the LSB Series is known for performing endurance testing where high accuracy, compact design, and robust construction are needed.

This summer marks the second annual Sensors + Test Trade Show that FUTEK will participate in Nurnberg, Germany. The three-day international trade show is a convention forum for sensor design and manufacturing companies to rally together and share their product lines. Known as the “most comprehensive and state-of-the-art” tradeshow in the test and measurement industry, participants not only will display their products, but also practice innovative system and solution applications. This makes the Sensors + Test Trade Show a great platform for FUTEK to showcase its advancements over the past year, especially in conjunction with our advanced USB Technology and Miniature Load Cells.

Musculoskeletal Testing
The field of Musculoskeletal Testing or Biomechanics often utilize Force Sensor (aka Load Cells) to gain a greater understanding in the dynamic variables affecting balance, posture, and neuromuscular control of spinal load. As the illustration shows, a S Beam Type Load Cells can be mounted onto a flat surface where a cable or steel string is connected at the top of the sensor. The other end of the cable is assembled to a hip or any free moving bone structure that is mounted for movement. As the bone is moved a tensile force is applied on the S Beam Load Cell. In such a setup, the S Beam Load Cell can be connected to a Digital Display or PC where the measurements can be recorded.
