Irvine, Calif.: FUTEK is proud to announce the release of the QTA141 Micro Reaction Torque Sensor. The QTA141 is unique because of its miniature footprint. The small size allows for installation in environments where traditional reaction torque sensors would not fit.
The QTA141 was designed to provide a precision torque measurement solution for miniature, DC, servo motors. Traditional reaction torque sensors are more bulky. For reference, FUTEKs TFF400 reaction torque measures 50 mm in diameter and 50 mm in height while the QTA141 measures 22 mm in diameter and 10 mm in height. Additionally, it features a 10 mm diameter central hole allowing a motor drive shaft and coupling to pass cleanly through the sensor. The significant reduction in size allows the QTA141 to fit where most reaction torque sensors cannot.
Along with its small size, the QTA141 features ± 0.5% Nonlinearity, ± 0.5% Hysteresis, and ± 0.1% Nonrepeatability with metal foil strain gauges in both clockwise and counter clockwise torque directions. Despite its small size, the QTA141's performance provides unparalleled accuracy in comparison to current loop measurement techniques. Additionally, the QTA141 features:
- A 1 Nm capacity that exceeds that stall torque of most 22 mm gearmotors
- Rated Output of 1.3 mV/V
