Reaction Torque Sensor
Release Date: 12/14/2006

FUTEK Advanced Sensor Technology’s popular Reaction Torque Sensor with a wide range of mounting selections and capacities, uses metal foil strain gage technology. The one piece structure configuration makes the product maintenance free with non-rotating parts that can be used to check residual torque on a fastener or monitor in line running torque on servo or stepping motors. For example, FUTEK’s TAT200 -Mini Screw Driver Reaction Torque Sensor may be used to determine the necessary torque involved to resume tightening and thus overcome frictional effects of a fastener. Another example is the TFF500 with a built-in amplifier or digital output is used with a stepping motor or servo motor interfacing with PLC or computer for automated robotic application. Some key features for this line include:

  • High accuracy
  • Robust Construction
  • Various mounting options
  • Capacities from 5 in.-oz. to 500,000 in-lbs
  • High Frequency Response coupled with mechanically stiff designs
FUTEK’s selection of Reaction Torque Sensors categorized below can be applied in many industries.
  • Air Tool (An integral part of nut-runner for automation assembly)
  • Flange to Flange (Flange mounted)
  • Screw driver(Used in low torque fastener torque auditing assembly)
  • Shaft to Shaft(Shaft mounted)
  • Socket Extension (Used in digitizing and verifying applied torque)
  • Square Drive to Flange (For auditing torque measuring devices and fastener auditing tools)
  • Square Drive to Square Drive (Female square drive mounted)
  • Torque Wrench (Common fastener torque auditing)
