FUTEK Releases Two New External USB Data Acquisition Units
The outside of both units is minimal: A red, powder-coated metal housing hosts an integrated 35mm DIN rail clip. Power and communication are achieved with a USB Type B connector. Data received over USB can either being logged and graphed with FUTEK’s SENSIT software or captured with a 3rd party platform such as LabVIEW. Both the USB520 and USB530 can accept mV/V, amplified voltage and current, and encoder inputs via a 12-pin Binder Connector. In addition, both units share:
- 24-bits Internal Resolution
- Nonlinearity, max of ± 0.005% of FSR
- Digital filter with 50 Hz/60 Hz Rejection @ 110 dB
- ± 6.8 mV/V input for non-amplified sensors
- ± 11V and 0-20mA input or amplified sensors/li>
- TTL Encoder Input for Speed @ 150k PPS1 or Angle Measurement @ 11k PPR2
- High Retention USB Connector
What sets the USB520 and USB530 apart are their sampling rates and bandwidth. The USB520 supports a range of sampling rates from 5 to 4800 samples per seconds with the bandwidths from 1.25 to 1200 Hz depending on the selected sample rates. For the needs of high-speed data capture, the USB530 comes into play, supporting sampling rates from 11 to 15,000 samples per seconds with the bandwidths from 2.5 to 3,750 Hz depending on the selected sample rates.
