Intelligent Hand Held Display

IHH505

Test Anywhere. Capture Everything.
Never Miss a Byte.

Battery-powered touchscreen and logger for high-precision measurements from mV/V, VDC, and mA sensor inputs

The Senslog Handheld Display combines industry-leading precision with a rugged, portable design ideal for research, testing, and production environments. Compatible with a wide range of sensors and input types, it provides accurate, reliable measurements across applications from load testing to pressure monitoring. A flexible sampling rate of up to 4,800 SPS allows users to capture and log both static and dynamic events, while seamless integration with SENSIT® software enables effortless data download and analysis.

High-Precision Sensor Reader with Adjustable Sampling

The SensLog - Handheld Display delivers a Noise-Free Resolution (NFR) of up to 20 bits for ±5 mV/V inputs, 18.8 bits for 16 mA inputs, and up to 21.4 bits for ±10 VDC inputs, ensuring high-precision data acquisition. Its exceptionally low non-linearity of up to ±0.002% of Full-Scale Range (FSR) minimizes measurement errors. The integrated ADC offers twelve sampling rates ranging from 2.5 to 4800 SPS, allowing users to optimize data acquisition speed depending on their specific application.

  • Flexible System Integration
  • Large Storage for Noise-Free Data
  • Engineered for Toughness

Engineered for Long-Duration Testing

The SensLog can store over 44,640,000 data points (across 16 logs at 2,790,000 points per log). Its large storage capacity supports applications requiring extensive, untethered data collection for long-duration tests. In addition to standard start-stop logging, the SensLog features duration-based data logging, enabling users to capture data over a specific time frame. It also offers trigger-based logging, which automatically starts a recording when a measurement rises above or falls below a user-defined threshold.

Industrial-Grade Durability Meets On-the-Go Versatility

The SensLog-Handheld Display combines robust construction, a high-visibility display, and a portable design, making it a reliable tool for engineers in the field or on the production floor.

  • Rugged EMI-Shielded Enclosure: The aluminum housing reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) and enhances product longevity. Its IP64 rating makes it dust-tight and resistant to water splashes from any direction, making SensLog suitable for demanding industrial environments.
  • High-Visibility, Durable Display: SensLog’s Optically Bonded 5-inch Gorilla Glass Capacitive Touch IPS display is scratch and impact resistant, ensuring long-term durability. Its bright, responsive interface provides clear readability even in high-glare outdoor conditions.
  • Portable & Versatile for Engineering Applications: SensLog’s compact, handheld design provides reliable measurements in both lab and field environments, supporting a wide range of applications such as bearing testing and fastener inspection.

Seamless Data Collection and Analysis

The SensLog- Handheld Display seamlessly integrates with SENSIT® software, allowing users to collect, analyze, and download data immediately with no additional setup. The live graphing feature in SENSIT® allows users to visualize data real time, facilitating informed decision-making. FUTEK also offers additional integration options including LabVIEW, ASCII output, enabling customers to easily export sensor data into existing systems.

Streamlined Sensor Setup with Built-In TEDS Recognition

The SensLog supports IEEE21451.4 TEDS auto recognition, significantly mitigating setup errors by streamlining the sensor integration process. Because of this plug and play functionality, you can seamlessly switch between different sensors with confidence, minimizing downtime and human error.

Enhanced Fault Detection for Reliable Performance

The SensLog’s design integrates advanced fault detection and diagnostic capabilities. These features help minimize measurement errors, safeguard equipment, and ensure uninterrupted operation in demanding environments. Its safety features include:

  • Open/Short Circuit Warnings: Identifies wiring or sensor connection issues to ensure accuracy and warn about potential damage to the sensor or system.
  • Temperature Out of Range Warning: Alerts users when operating conditions fall outside the safe range (Charging: 32°F to 113°F [0°C to 45°C], Discharging: 14°F to 131°F [-10°C to 55°C]), protecting sensors from damage due to thermal stress.
  • Low Memory Space Warning: Notifies the user when storage is nearly full, enabling timely steps such as downloading data or clearing memory.
  • Amplified Power Supply Warning: Detects overcurrent events and automatically shuts off the 24V power supply to protect the device.

Adaptable Mounting for Field, Lab, and Production Use

The SensLog-Handheld Display is equipped with a ¼-20 threaded mounting pattern compatible with standard accessories. Its auto-rotating display supports both portrait and landscape modes for ease of use across multiple mounting configurations.

Features include:

  • Benchtop/desktop configuration: Offers convenience for lab-based experiments and testing.
  • Wall-mounted: Ensures easy access to data while minimizing clutter. The orientation feature enhances usability across different setups.
