Standing at 1.75in (44.5mm) and 1.98in (50.3mm) in diameter, the LCF300 miniature universal load cell is a versatile, low-profile sensor that is extremely accurate, resilient and reliable. This model works flawlessly in less-than-perfect, real-world conditions as it features a unique monolithic multi-beam flexure design that offers outstanding resistance to high extraneous loads. Other capabilities include exceptionally low deflection and non-linearity and very fast dynamic response.
Measuring both tension and compression loads on inline applications, the LCF300 is ideal for solutions that require a highly accurate sensor that can fit into a limited space. It's available in a wide range of capacities that range from 25 to 500lb (11.3 to 226.8kg). The unit can operate in a wide temperature range of –60 to 200°F (–50 to 93°C).
At 1.75in (44.5mm) tall and 1.98in (50.3mm) in diameter, the sensors are small enough to fit into most applications without major redesign of the equipment. The sensors are also lightweight, with a weight that ranges from only 142 or 284g, depending on the capacity and if it features smaller threads for attachment. Threads are female/female, with wrench flats on each end to aid in the installation process.
The internal design structure with its high stiff flexure provides low deflection and low sensitivity and accurate measurements to off-axis loads, even in high extraneous load conditions. Continuous load monitoring applications benefit from the high accuracy offered even in eccentric loading conditions, which occur when the load has moving parts or components.
The proprietary multi-beam design features a fully machined unit with multiple spokes and connecting rods that are carved out from a single block of alloy. Coupled with FUTEK’s sophisticated metal foil strain gauge technology this feature guarantees high accuracy.
The high natural frequency of the sensors, ranging from 3400Hz to 7000Hz, offers faster dynamic response, suited for continuous load monitoring applications for challenging applications. In bulk material handling, the source container and the collecting unit can both benefit from use of these sensors, reducing material transfer time and improving throughput without sacrificing accuracy.
The exceptional quality of FUTEK’s LCF300 sensor makes it highly durable and reliable. Its body is made of aerospace-grade 17-4 precipitation hardened stainless steel, which provides high strength, high hardness, and corrosion resistance over a wide temperature range. The laser-welded design provides options for unique requirements and applications. (One exception is the 25lb model which is made of aluminum alloy grade 2024.)
The LCF300 models are offered with integrated connectors that provide IP ratings of IP50. The connectorized 4-position micro receptacle allows you to easily remove the cable from the sensor like a plug from a socket. This feature protects the sensor from cable damage, as you can easily replace a potentially faulty wire.

The LCF300 has been tested by FUTEK’s world-class calibration department and is NIST traceable. We can also reduce hidden costs and setup time by calibrating your sensor with FUTEK electronics of your choice. In addition, we offer calibration to ANSI Z540-1 and ISO 17025 standards upon request.
