Description

FUTEK’s Reaction Torque Sensor offers a unique solution for torque auditing applications. The TFF500 Reaction Torque Sensor is available in both Aluminum or Stainless Steel construction.


The standard TFF500 Reaction Torque Sensor can be modified or customized to meet your requirements. The TFF500 Reaction Torque Sensor Series is manufactured in USA and uses metal foil strain gauge technology.


A relatively simple method to estimate motor torque is to measure its electrical power input, the voltage and the current in the power line driving the motor drive. However, for a precise and accurate shaft output torque measurement, a reaction torque sensor used as a stepper motor torque sensor is the recommended method. This application note illustrate how TFF500 can be used as a stepper motor torque measurement sensor.
