AS9100
Alongside being ISO 9001:2008 certified, FUTEK is compliant to AS9100:2009, which is the standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry. This standard keeps FUTEK accountable to a performance precedent set by the aerospace organizations on their particular requirements.
J-STD-001 Soldering
NASA’s J-STD-001 is the space application’s electronic hardware standard. It outlines the materials, methods, and verification criteria for the production of high-quality solder inner connections. With all that being said, several of FUTEK’s technical operators have been trained in to comply with this standard if soldering.
Miniature Models
Many aerospace applications have limited space to accommodate space grade sensors. FUTEK’s standard miniature models (most equipped with overload protection) are customizable to not only fit the confines of the application but your application’s requirements.
Multiple Bridges
Aerospace applications require multiple bridge outputs - one for control and another for measurement. FUTEK’s standard sensors are capable of being built or modified for dual bridge measurement requirements.
Vacuum-Rated
Applications involving vacuum environments require us to work closely with the end user to understand what out-gassing requirements they may have. Once the user provides us with their out-gassing specifications, we tailor our designs to fit the mold.
Cryogenics
Various environments of space-related applications involve extreme temperatures. Take the Raytheon VIIRS Satellite project as an example. FUTEK produced two cryogenic sensors able to withstand -300ºF (-184ºC). But, that’s not to say that we can’t go lower.
Overload Protection
FUTEK is well-versed in overload protection. We perform EDM work in our machining processes, which allows us to offer bidirectional overload stops in many models. Most of our standard miniature models offer overload protection.

Our focus on quality goes into every component and process. From the selection of the metals to the connectors in use, we actively test and review every element for optimal performance and application requirement.
